I have no idea what to make of a name like Just a number 05272011. It’s definitely weird. But “He Didn’t Want a Love Song” sounds like it’s sung by The Knife/Fever Ray vocalist Karin Dreijer Andersson. And that’s enough for me to give it a listen. The video for the original is above and the Lisa Alma mix is below (via NMB)
It’s about a week old but it’s definitely worth the post. This video for “Abducted” by Cults is great. Well made video for a well made song. Enough said. (via GVB)
A video of stock footage of people diving into pools. You can’t wait to watch it right? But combine it with “The catcher in the rye” by Azure Blue and yes, you shouldn’t want to wait to watch it. (via NMB)
I just found out about Thundercat and then listened to “For Love | Come”. And loved it. Hopefully you will too. It’s produced by Flying Lotus! (via GVB)
Ignore the Charlie Sheen intro. Just enjoy the the laid back, synth induced coma you’re about to experience. It’s “Walk in the Dark” from The New Division. New. From the 80s, but new. Get it? Yup. (via IGIF)
The Miracles Club make dancey house music. Cut Copy also makes dancey music (I don’t really know what house music is, so Cut Copy might also do the same?). Anyway. This is a Cut Copy remix of The Miracles Club’s “Light of Love” and, if you’ll believe it, it’s pretty dancey. They group did a video for the remix and it’s fun and worth the watch. (via NMB)
I love Wild Beasts. They’re quickly becoming one of my favorite bands. That’s all you need to know to watch this live video of them performing “Bed of Nails” on Jools Holland. It’s worth it. Trust me. (via Stereogum)
Nothing is bad about this video for “Lindisfarne”. The music is, well James Blake and the video is interesting and unique. I guess it’s kinda creepy. Ok it’s a tad bit creepy. But it’s still good! (via GVB)
The new song from Ladytron, “White Elephant”, sounds poppy and inviting, while sounding mysterious at the same time. A good mix of qualities for a song if I do say so myself. (via Stereogum)
