When Saints Go Machine is a weird band name. They’re from Denmark though so that’s ok. They also make very dancey electro-pop music, as is evident in their song “Kelly”. I’ve been (and still am) obsessed with Wild Beasts, and this guy’s voice kind of has similar qualities. I can also hear some Bon Iver style harmonies. All wrapped into a synth-heavy dance song. Cool! I saw Yuck play about a month ago and was hooked. I mean, I was pretty hooked when I heard their LP, but they brought the same energy when they played live and won me over. This is a new song, “Milkshake”, which they also played at the show. It kind of shows that they’re able to keep their same sound, but differentiate it enough to keep things fresh. I love Arthur Russel. Labyrinth Ear are a British electronic duo that kind of reworked and altered (call it remixed if you want..) the Arthur Russel song “This is how we walk on the moon” in a great way. The term ‘bedroom pop’ is starting to get thrown around as often as chillwave was about a year ago. Call Youth Lagoon whatever you want, as long as it’s positive. This song, “Montana”, is mellow and pleasing to the ear. Kinda low-fi, simple harmony, and very melodic. (via Pretty Much Amazing)
